How Does the mobile Phone Work

Mobile phones have dramatically changed the way you live and work. You don't know exactly how many small plastic phones there are in the world, but current estimates have over 8.3 billion subscriptions. It's more than the Earth's population! In developing countries, where there are few large land networks (normal wall-mounted phones), and in between, more than 93% of the phones used are mobile phones. A cell phone is a wireless phone that routes calls over a network of antennas connected to major public phone networks.

Most people now use smartphones like mobile phones. This is a small computer with integrated circuits for mobile phones. In the 1990s, mobile phones were simpler and could only be used for voice calls. Today, networks are faster and can handle large amounts of traffic.

When Was the Phone Invented, it is very common question which come in mind of many people. Answer is that The Phone Invented in late 18’s.

How Does the Phone Work?

When speaking on a mobile phone, a small earpiece microphone converts your voice’s sound into the corresponding patterns of upper and lowers electrical signals. A microchip in the phone converts these signals into a string of numbers. The numbers are packed into the radio waves and transmitted through the antenna on the phone. Radio waves travel in the air at the speed of light until they reach the nearest mobile phone's mast.

Mobile pole

The pole receives the signal and passes it to the base station. Base stations effectively coordinate what happens inside each local part of the mobile network called cells. From the base station, the call is transferred to the destination. Calls from one mobile phone on the same network to another are forwarded to the destination by being routed to the base station closest to the destination phone and finally to the phone itself.

How a mobile phone can help

At first glance, mobile phones are much like two-way radios and walkie-talkies, where each person bounces a message directly back and forth; much like a tennis player returns the ball. The problem with such radios is that you can use so many radios in a particular area before the signal from one pair of callers begins to interfere with the signal from another pair of callers. As a result, mobile phones are much more sophisticated and work in completely different ways.

What the cells do

Suppose multiple people in your area want to use their mobile phones all at the same time. If they all send and receive calls in the same way and using the same type of radio waves, the signals will interfere and scramble together, making it impossible to distinguish one call from another. One way to avoid this is to use different radio waves for different calls. If the frequencies used in each call are slightly different, you can easily separate the calls. They can move in the air like different radio stations that use different wavelength bands
